Our Recipe in the Portland Press Herald

Thanks to the Portland Press Herald more people are learning about the unique approach of Cooking for Community — to raise money for funding restaurants to prepare healthy, cost-effective meals for people who need food, using locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. It is great to see all the work being done by restaurants and social service agencies, along with community leaders and organizations, to make it all happen.

With over $200,000 dollars raised to date and thousands of meals served, we are looking to strengthen sustainability and security across the entire food chain. Because in this beautiful, bountiful state, we truly believe there is a place at the table for everyone. Join us!
